China approves Geely plan to buy Volvo

Reuters reported that China's Ministry of Commerce has approved a plan by the parent of Geely Automobile to acquire Ford Volvo unit.

An official with the ministry publicity department was quoted as saying that the ministry approved the USD 1.8 billion deal on Monday.
