NUM signs two-year wage deal with Northam

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) and miner Northam Platinum have reached a two-year wage agreement, union spokesperson Lesiba Seshoka said on Friday. The average wage increases range from 9% to 9.5% in year one, and 9% to 9.5% in year two. The increases will be backdated to July 1.
